TEACHER'S DAY and MOTHER'S DAY

It's a drag!!! The drama crew were gathered together again!!! This time it's for a show for Teacher's Day...
And arrrgh!!! The times I have to spend with these pain-in-the-necks are terrible...
It just been like 1 month since this very crew won the Drama Festival, AND NOW THEY'VE FORGOTTEN THEIR LINES!!! Not to mention the fact that they keep on pissing me off every now and then... God knows how much I hated these guys... But I did it for the teachers... LOVE YOU TEACHERS
So let there be practice:
Practice...
practice...
and yet these guys seem to have lost their interest in acting...
man, I wonder why on Earth am I still with these guys...

MOTHER'S Day came up and I had no idea of what to give for my mum. After a long thought, maybe I can give her my Disciplinary Icon prize. After all, my mum was the one who disciplined me since I was a kid...
I wrapped the prize up and gave it to her...

But I don't really think she appreciated it... She never told used it, not even put it on display.

The drama went really bad...
The crew thought more of hanging around rather than practice...
The show went bad...
I mean, the drama was supposed to be full of suspense and romance...........
But all was doomed thanks to the crew...
I felt like I don't ever want to show up in school again as the humiliation was just horrible...

DISCIPLINARY MONTH

DISCIPLINARY MONTH @ SMKAKA..
To the horror of my schoolmates, the Disciplinary Unit on SMKAKA launched this program. By means of disciplinary, all the school rules and regulations are enforced... causing many to lose their beloved items, i.e. cell phones, jeans, their HAIR... etc...
I, as a hostel prefect have been taught to obey the school rules. But still I face problems on keeping myself away from the fact the "rules are meant to be broken". Being patient for a month seems like impossible at first, but I got to get the hang of being like a "robot" after a few curses at the rule book.
Days past, then weeks, every now and then a kid try to prove himself to be a tough guy at school, but failed...
a thought came to me a few times that I should summon the throne of The School's Naughty Brat... It occurred to me because I am one of the most popular kid in school. Being one of the teachers' pet will get me out of almost any trouble I get myself into... But I somehow managed to stop myself from menacing in school.
And I made a break for it in the last week of the disciplinary month after straining myself just to be an "angel". A trip to the National Park in Pahang did the job well. I returned with a surprise as I was awarded The Disciplinary Icon of SMKAKA. Hahaha. I'm really taken aback at first, but after being "congratulated' by my fellow classmates, I AM DISCIPLINED!!!

STATE-LEVEL TENNIS TOURNAMENT

After a tough battle in the regional tournament, which I lost in the semis, (what? it was a tough fight...)
I got selected for the state levels...
Training was hard...
I did my very best to match the state number 1 player, M. N. Aqram... But I always ended up second best..
Until the tournament started, I had my hopes high to get into at least the semis...
The first round match put me in the most devastating match ever...
THREE HOURS of non-stop rallies, and I ended up losing to a beginner. Shameful...
the doubles event only got me through to the quarter-finals...
ahh... the tears I wanted to shed...
But looking in the bright side, Dungun won  the overall tournament...

Drama Festival - Malay Legends

A whole month of practice, and now it all comes down to this day... March 31st 2010. The drama crew arrived at the Dungun UITM at around 0730 hours. We were the first crew to get there... So we got our seats and then got up on stage to revise our play.  Not long after, other participating schools arrived.

1. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Omar.
2. Sekolah Menengah Sains Dungun.
3. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Intan Zaharah.
4. Sekolah Menengah Teknik Dungun.

And soon the show began. Each school sent 1 person to draw a vote to determine which play will go first... So I went as my crew's brave hero and drew out the third order... Back when I was in South Africa, the kids usually said:
Zero The Hero,
First The Worst,
Second The Best,
And Third The  Golden Bird...

Ha! I Got a feeling that things are about to get awesome over here...

So the plays went in this following order:

1. SMKTIZ- The Legend of Hang Tuah.
2. SMTD- The Legend of Merong Mahawangsa.
3. SMK(A)K- The Legend of Mahsuri.
4. SMKSO- The Legend of Puteri Gunung Ledang.
5. SMSD- The Legend of Si Tanggang.

Well, I was really concerned of SMSD, SMKTIZ and SMTD... These three schools have been my school's rivals since like, ever! But never fear! We had a plan...
We brought along a massive number of supporters. These guys fill up to one quarter of the hall.

But as our turn draw nearer... I started getting flashbacks... All the times at training...
The tree where mahsuri was killed...

The night we stayed up until 0300 hours...
These guys really pissed me off that time...
Our times at the rehearsal...

And it all comes down to this moment...
MAHSURI
The Intro... Mahsuri is the one in front,  that one at the back is Woman 1- no specific name for her.
Deramang and Mahsuri, one of the best scenes I planned as an experienced (just a bit, but more than the others...) performer. This scene got a great applause from the audience... here, Deramang was trying to comfort the lonely in gorgeous Mahsuri.
Woman 1 and Woman 2 (left and centre) talking Mahura (supposed to be my wife in this story...) into accusing Mahsuri of committing adultery with Deramang...

All went well throughout our performance until the part where Mahsuri gets stabbed- NO BLOOD!!! The plastic bag containing "blood" didn't burst!!
but the show must go on...
Just let it be ...

After every competing schools have done their performance, the judges decided...

"Ladies and gentlemen, we now announce the results of the judges..."
WHOA!!! WE WON!!!

As my crew was announced the champions... The co-director (Fatin Syahirah) and I went up on stage to receive the trophy... Little did I know that there were cameramen recording us for the national news... (I just found out about when my teacher told me that I got in the news...= I WAS ON TV!!)
It was so awesome...
Always... I'll remember this day....
Mahsuri and Mat Deris...
