THE NATIONAL UNITY ASSEMBLY & INTERGRATION FOR STUDENT LEADERS AND INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS 2009 (RIMUP) *DAY FOUR*

Day Four...
wow, it seems that time really flies....
the second last day of ths program, and I just got closer to befriend with people of differeent races, different religions and different cultures... I even made four best friends:
NES SANDRA RECCA
SOM CAI
ANG HAN CIN
AZFARSHAH
Twas fun being with them... every one held hands together wherever they go. akward at first, I just rode with the flow.. I somehow felt... nice.
First trip for the day, we went to the Islamic Centre of Johore.
Hj Muhammad Isa, some guy with a wierd sense of humor gave a talk on unity.

Later, we went to University Teknologi Malaysia.
and... another photo..

Well, we learned quite a few new things there,
soap making process, food process, beauty product making process, ah, just take a look...
hehe

soap!!

beauty products!!

food!!!
well of course, they do explian the processes....

Mr. Oui is very interested...
Afifah looks curious..

Sanketa can really pay attention..
Som Cai and I weren't really interested in the process, it was the food that matters.
we got free food samples!! A coconut energy bar..
One bar lasts a day. Really.

We headed on to the Persada Johore yet again that night. The Night of Appreciation for Unity and Arts.
Performers there were damn good. Dancers and martial artists all showed the image of their origins.

blurry, no, I wasn't drunk. Everything was going on so fast!!
In the end, many participants got up onto the stage to sing along a song. A special tribute to Michael Jackson@Mikhail Jackson. We all sang the song, Heal the World.......
That night, my group recieved an award. KUMPULAN YANG PALING BERWAWASAN
Hugs and cheers for everyone..
a memorable night that I will treasure forever.

THE NATIONAL UNITY ASSEMBLY & INTERGRATION FOR STUDENT LEADERS AND INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS 2009 (RIMUP) *DAY THREE*

Though a little tired, I woke up for the third day activities...
Another Unity Aerobics event.... well this time the Johore Cabinet members where there.
And it was LIVE ON AIR!!! I'm famous!!

Yeah, I know... A LOT OF  PEOPLE

in a crowded place like that, I get to meet many new friends..
one of them was Kazuma Abe, a japanese transfer student.
After that, I was called upon to attend a rehearsal for that night's dinner with the Johore Government along with 13 others. I missed the next activity with my group. They went on to a house of the disabled. Looks like they had fun.

I met up with my group that afternoon where we went to a place named Taman Rumah Limas -or something like that...
It displayed different designs of kampung houses in Johore.
But the main attraction was when we were allowed to enter the Forbidden Orchid Garden there.

a place that is really worth going to

memories

later on that night, the Dinner With the Johore Government took place. You see, the reason I was called for rehearsal was that I represented my contingent from Terengganu to offer the Johore Chief Minister a token of appreciation and to recieve a gift of memory from him. I tried to look my best but then no one took any pictures of me then...
We were entertained by some performers from Sekolah Seni Johore Bahru. They were amazingly gorgeous and talented. Honestly.
And so that wraps up the day...

THE NATIONAL UNITY ASSEMBLY & INTERGRATION FOR STUDENT LEADERS AND INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS 2009 (RIMUP) *DAY TWO*

Waking up the next day was a piece of cake, it seems that my roommates left the air-con at minimum last night.
16 degrees!!!
Well, all's done is done.. I got up to pray the Fajr, and then got into my activity shirt.
It was yellow, and nice!

That's me in the front...

My group as well as some other groups made our way to SM Teknik Johore Bahru.
First activity: SENAMROBIK PERPADUAN
aerobics?? I had a tough time catching up with the instructors. It was as if they were dancing more than exercising... But I had fun... moving along with the music and all.
Next, when everyone is all pumped up with adrenalin, we all moved on to:
SUKAN PERPADUAN & TEAM BUILDING
Well, it was all to introduce us to some cultures of other races.
I learnt a few...
1. CHINESE USE CHOPSTICKS TO EAT
2. THE KHADAZANS DANCE THE SUMAZAU. THE DANCERS ARE WOMEN AND ARE CALLED THE 'SUMANDAK'
3. INDIANS MAKE KOLAM
4. INDIANS PLAY A GAME CALLED KABBADI
5. CHINESE MAKE STRAW PAINTINGS
6. IBANS PLAY THIS I-don't-remember-the-name GAME OF JUMPING OVER TWO BAMBOO POLES.

Finally, my group made a piece of art using straws!

1MALAYSIA!!!

Later, wegot ourselves prepared for a protocol event.
THE ROYAL HI TEA
The Tengku Mahkota of Johore was there.

Boy, I wished I got a different table...
the people sitting around my table were all some goody-two-shoes!!!
I can't eat as much as I used to. Every time I attempt to go for some more food, those people stare......
and in the end, I was the only one eating!!! The others just kept on staring... freaky...
at the end of the event, my table was the only table which have leftovers on it - surprise!!!

_______________

That night, another BIG EVENT.
A gathering with the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia!
I actually managed to shake hands with him in person!!! hahaha!
But unfortunately... hee- I dozed off during his speech. I'm ashamed of myself...
I woke up only to see him leave the building... and then... everyone returned to their hotels.
